...so I'll continue to work with what I have :D
Updates from last time I worked on my driving "rig". Swapped the seat for and old sub woofer box so now the kids and I can play. Move the display onto my desk so its next to my computer so I can play games while the kids drive and I don't have to get up and go round to help them every 2 seconds.
The wife watched the Broncos game Sunday, the daughter and I played hours of video games :D

That's really cool. How old are the kids and how is the daughter doing on the driving? Did the wife give you grief over not finishing the drywall or the ceiling? :)

daughter is 6, son is 4. Son is ok at steering by needs me to control brake and accelerator, daughter arguably drives worse but does all the controls herself. Seeing some real improvement though. I'm wondering if it will help or not when she gets old enough to drive. Perhaps I'm just teaching bad habits.
Certainly only teaching her how to drive with 2 pedals, so far :P

bad habits such as....only throttle is ALL the throttle? Nah that's not a bad habit. I'm trying to tech my 4 year old to play checkers....she's kind of getting it! Next it will be chess. She does say "Daddy I want to race cars with you when I grow up" things but that's only when car shows are on TV....so I have to figure out the costs of a karting family i guess if she really keeps up on that.

yeah, you hear about f1 drivers and how they started karting at 3, that's a hell of a lot more cost than getting your kids into soccer!
and yeah, no real throttle control, partially the cheap wheel/pedals, but mostly the games. Simple games really don't even need brakes, jsut throttle on and off.
But I've sparked an interest, that's for sure
